Every family member has a different idea of what "home" should feel like. For some family members, it is rooted in tradition. For others, it is about openness, modern comforts and clean design. The challenge is bringing these expectations together without making the home feel conflicted.

This residence was designed with that balance in mind.

The exterior combines earthy materials, sloping roofs and brick textures with clean contemporary forms. Inside, a generous double-height living space creates a sense of openness, while the floating staircase and suspended lighting become the visual heart of the home.

At the same time, the house does not lose sight of everyday living. A dedicated pooja space reflects the family's cultural values, spacious common areas encourage interaction, and thoughtfully planned private spaces—including a home theatre—support modern lifestyles.

Rather than relying on decoration alone, the design uses volume, natural light and carefully chosen materials to create warmth and character. Exposed brick, timber finishes and soft lighting contribute to an atmosphere that feels welcoming without being extravagant.

Homes are ultimately shaped by the people who live in them. Good architecture simply provides the setting for those moments to unfold. Our role was to create a home that respects tradition, embraces contemporary living, and remains comfortable for the family for many years to come.
